Children and teenagers are warmly invited to join the Sunday School at 10:30 AM year-round to learn the truths of God's love for us as found in the Bible. The accounts of those who listened to God in the Old Testament, such as Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses (with a focus on the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20), Ruth, Samuel, David, and Nehemiah are taught. They lead to the culmination of God's love for man in the appearance of Jesus Christ and the transforming ideas of the New Testament, including the Beatitudes and the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 5, 6), the parables, and the way Jesus healed.
The children learn of their true nature as God's spiritual image and likeness, reflecting His qualities of perfect joy, health, love, intelligence, and harmony and how to look beyond the material things of the world. Mary Baker Eddy established the Christian Science Sunday School because of her deep love of the Bible and to share the truths for a happier life that she wrote about in
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In small groups, the children may act out the stories, solve crossword puzzles related to the Bible, and discuss how to solve challenges with friends and school using the spiritual truths of the Bible.
The Christian Science Sunday School is open to young people up to age 20. Child care is provided for those too young to attend class. We hope you will join us! Please e-mail our
Sunday School Superintendent with any questions.
